I would look up the chemical make-up of the hot glue. but, i imagine it would be chemical resistant...

i used hot glue on my 125 to stuff the crankcase where the reed pedal screws go, and it turned into goo after a few months :shock:

id go with jb weld or a plastic gas tank repair epoxy, its only $7
