It's just a common hose clamp. I bought it at a place that deals with fittings and hoses for the petroleum industry. I had to get a longer bolt for it, so I found one in my bucket of bolts. It looks kike a 7mm X 1.0, I believe it's off an early 80's Honda street bike triple clamp pinch bolt.

Great folks and ALWAYS willing to help any way that they can.
Sometimes you can get lucky and find them at a real auto parts store.
Not the superstore type like Autozone or Pep boys but the local 2 man show parts stores that all but extinct.

The Throttle cable will but the clutch cable may have a different pull length?

Unless you have a low time donor, I would go with new cables. They are way to cheap to be thinking about re-using and you sure would be pissed at yourself if you busted a throttle cable 20 miles from your truck....

i think the clutch cables for the 5 hundees have a few more strands and a bigger (slightly) diameter cable housing, like a beefier version of the 125/250 clutch cables as well.......

I ordered a new clutch cable and several other small parts from hondaparts-direct. Roostius Maximus has my cylinder, and my cases are together. I threw my new plastics on, and made a skid plate this week. The only fabrication left is mounting the coil. I ordered a new one of those also. I'm still looking for a set of wheels. I may just settle for an OEM Honda 2.15", the little 1.85 from the 125 is too small.

That is one beautiful rolling chassis right there...You used scotch brite on the frame? is that all it takes it just rub scotch brite on it? i really like the way that looks...

I buffed it, and then used scotch brite with Home Depo citrus cleaner.

my oe sticker on the 03 chassis is white with black, its gotta say "this vehicle conforms to all applicable standards prescribed under the Canadian motor vehicle safety regulations in effect on the date of manufacture / " followed by the french version.

ya that's the canadian bikes...the american bikes come with a sticker that looks exactly like robertgs with basically the same amount of info...Is that sticker really necessary since the serial number is already etched in to the frame? i took mine off it was getting in the way of the beautiful aluminum

I always take mine into the us to ride or climb, and everytime, with a greencard for the bike they still ask if it was originally bought in Canada or not. Those few words on the stickers have got me thru quick

Damn...I hate the rules and regulations on shit like that! Is it easy enough to obtain a greencard for a canadian bike to ride in the u.s. for a short period of time?
