Not a junk product, just a mis-applied one.

He does stand behind the product very well. Everyone I know who has asked for a replacement unit has received one.

That does not mean that the replacements have worked any better though.
Ok, and the distributor wasn't aware of this? Any bike guy worth his weight would know this, or would figure this out in the development phase.

The components aren't bad, but really, this gremlin should never had made it past the first testing.

Believe me, I wouldn't want to be putting out for that kind of warranty.

is the only reason guys are running the S/H to use the lights? i still havent understood what the reason for using it is

Some people use it without lights. They use it because the cr500 has to strong a hit off the bottom, and they want less wheel spin. Of course, they already make something for that, it's called a xr250.

Just doing a bit more reading on the subject on the links to the other world, and it has just hit me..............

I'm willing to bet that we start seeing more than a few "I broke my rightside case at the kicker" posts from some of the new ignition owners.

The Honda is not a bike you want to kick the shit out of like that, the cases are weak in that area.

RJacks with his user error. Thats bullshit if you never had a problemo starting before using all the acceptable methods. Spit or swallow......shheesh.

i sure would like to see a map of that S/H unit. from what everyone says about it backfiring it seems clear it must have alot more advance in the timing right from the get go, but i dont understand why. sure would be nice to talk to the dude that designed it and see what his thinking was

holy shit, that is hillarious! Because after all, we don't do anything productive here and definitly are not a huge (in some cases the only) resource for cr500 and a/f conversion information... PPSSSHH, we've definitly got nothing better to do than bash on rjacks and SH all willie nillie.

you know a gen-1 250 ignition will bolt on and that digital cdi was programmed to run some sort of simple traction control. Bolt that on and rub your vag all the way to the finish line with fewer problems than that SH POS.

Well, I have dealt with him, and hes a rat, in my book.

You don't take someone elses ideas and use it for your own personal gain, period!

Anyhoo, this thread was about that jacked up ignition, not a jacked up jack off.

Any of you guys have an idea in your head, and you need it machined or need advice, or if you want a real world quote to keep your local machinist honest, call me.
Just don't take someone elses shit and try to line your pockets, or I'll MF ya, too!

Carry on my wayward sons

BTW, everything that assmunch knows about the bigblocker is what he learned from you guys. And if any of you seen the pics of the hack job Gen III he started and send him your suspension, the shit you grow sure makes you stupider than the shit I grow.

anyone want to send a SH one that didnt work? I have been talking to my boss and he says it shouldnt be too hard for one to be devised? even just a tightly coiled better quality lighting coil. I think there is a pretty big niche for someone to produce a good one. I would easily pay $200 for a system that was between 75W and 100W. Right now it is either all or nothing....25-45W or SH. Eline doesnt have anymore, Baja nope....im lost. The only reason why I want one is for lighting. If anyone knows where I can get an eline let me know...that is my first choice. I figure there has to be a dealership somewhere that has one stashed and forgotten.

I want to street legalize my bike and tear it up!

The weak link is the stock flywheel. The Electrosport/Moose coil is as big as will fit under the stock flywheel. You need stronger magnets...
