Here it is all dressed up with no wear to go I went with new UFO plastics, had a 04/05 top clamp so I threw it on and got a 04 front number plate and front fender!

Only big thing missing is the front brake system, checked with the eBay chop shop I was getting it from since it had been over a week; seems they mis-placed my system, but shipped out the other 2 that sold the same hour Looking at another week, if I can even find a sealed system; coming up empty right now.... Only real small items left are the graphics and holeshot device!

Also thinking strongly about a new 39PWK and reeds, might have to buy me a case or 2 of Ramon noddles for the week to afford it; but sure it would be a nice topper to this build!

Lol, oh trust me I know what it will look like. Thats half the fun, race or ride on the weekend then spend the evenings during the week bringing it back to par!

You know how you prevent wrecking on your first ride and really scratching your plastics to hell..

Follow these instructions close.

1) Grab Beer
2) walk to garage
3) consume beer
4) go back in house and grab 2 more beers
5) drink beer
6) head to garage
7) open another beer
take your foot and kick your bike off the stand (not violently just enough to drop it)
9) pick up bike
10) finish beer
11) admire tiny scratch
12) ride and enjoy

Man i do never have the energy to clean my bike...especially after a hard day or week of riding...only thing that stays clean most of the time is the oil, air filter, and gas. it's going to be a beautiful dirty bike...

Took it out this afternoon for a real test and break in ride, ran 2 tanks of gas thru it with no issues. Thing handles great, sticks to the berms and sucks up the ruts and whoops like nothing and I have not even touched the suspension. Still not happy with the carb, hard starting and crappy mid to top end throttle response. Gonna try going up one to the middle setting on the needle. Mostly just for self satisfaction, as I am calling John at Sudco Monday and he is hooking me up with a new spec jetted PWK...

About 92 out today and not a drop out the rad overflow, ran nice and cool! Not as pretty as before, but every bolt stayed in and every weld looks great. Have to admit I was a little hard on, even cased it once on a double just to give it a hard jar. Bike held up great, I jared my old ass back; but no biggie I am too stoked to feel any pain. Out to the garage to get it ready, gonna take it back out early in the AM and enjoy some riding before it gets hot!!

I screwed with my carb for days and finally just got the 39mm PWK, it's the only way to go. Starts easy and idles great. Spend the money, well worth it. Bike looks good BTW I tried to run a V Force and had issues with the airboot, tried 3 different ones and no love so I just run the stock ones. Mine's an 03 frame

Thanks... That is what I want, smooth and easy starting!

And it is officially broke in, came off a set of doubles into another set and could not get my old ass over the bars in time and looped it!!! Bike was about 6 feet in the air and I landed on my ass, broke the front brake lever and lost some meat from the forearm, but that was all!!! Rode for a bit more, but was just not the same with out the front brake!!

Wow, middle clip made a world of difference. Crisp all the way thru the band and since I went to a 50 pilot and blew the pig out yesterday it has been starting fine. 168 main, 50 pilot and 1368n needle on the middle clip. Really happy with the bike!! Think I will keep the PJ for a bit and use the cash for more gear and upgrade to the PWK when I go thru the motor this winter!

I hear you there.... I would be sitting pretty right now if not for my riding pants, boots, helmet, knee protection and flak jacket all getting stole out of my storage last year right before I moved to a place with a garage. Guess I am lucky they left the crotch rockets and my kids quad alone!!!

Man thats a real pisser, you need those pads, and a good lid protector, you know these 500 beasts are not forgiving AT ALL, so suit up and keep safe for your small ones at home!

My little girl did the same thing on her CRF50 Friday, only she was doing circles around my buddies house, lost control and looped it riding up the swing set leg. She had a little rash on her elbow too, think I got her beat It was comical, but scary at the same time; until she jumped up saying " I'm OK!!!" laughing!!!

OUCH! That brought back painful memories.

If it's OEM, I've got a brake lever that's yours if you want it.
