My Chevy has 147,000 on the ORIGINAL brakes. I drive allot of freeway, but I also pull the big red trailer allot, which has no brakes. Algava and I did 5500 rpm "Full Pull" of the northbound 14 incline with no lower end or valvetrain failure. I beat the crap out of that thing!

My ford in an '04 so it has the newer brakes which are HUGE and kick ass, my chevys brakes are sub-par if towing without a trailer brake. Powder rods are only an issue when making big power.
but all in all, my chevy has 260,000 miles on the original drive train and my ford has 60,000 and I don't think my ford will have the original drive train at 260,000.
