when youre going up a steep hill in first and cant shift without loosing traction or lifting the front end youre not using much power, but its really useful
and if your spinning 10 000 and you need to keep letting off so you dont flip you got lots to work with, if youre in 2nd bogging your pretty much screwed when you need to let off to not flip, especially if its a long hill and your arms feel like spaghetti and you can barely hang on
and i dont shift like clyde, even if i just jammed it into gear without the clutch shifting still wouldnt work out

Try using the clutch next time you go up a hill and the wheel comes off the ground

ya right, i dont consider it a steep hill if you can gain speed on it
, you gotta get speed wherever you can and have to let off up
all the steep parts, kissing the front fender, (or you will flip) im a clutch happy rider, use it everywhere, almost wore the pivot out on my magura and thats in 4 months,
but clutching just wont work on quite a few really steep hills, at least on a non extended bike... on dirt
dont believe me, if youre ever in bc let me know

Probably would have made it if you had the secret "makita battery mod" to keep the front end down.
