You have the same distorted frame rails as Mr. Butthurt too.
Maybe he can do a better job on your tank , than he did his.

Ya look at what you are saying.AlisoBob wrote:Yea, crushed and distorted cradle tubes are the foundation of every quality build.xr650killer wrote:...im trying to make it look a little better than a hack job.
You should have bought an Aussie kit, if you wanted some quality parts.
I guess being the Walmart greeter dosent pay enough, huh?

Not to be a butt kisser. I followed Aliso Bob's post along with tank heat and frame rails and I have everyone that has seen it, think it is a factory product. Thanks

They don't bend the rails like a lawn chair either. A welded joint is just as strong or stronger than a piece of stock that hasn't been welded

Re: CRADLE
You cant re weld a weld on alum it dont work.cmotodad wrote:You're right they do not. My train of thought is the less areas welded, the less places to crack and besides, if they crack you can see them clearly to repair. We really enjoy riding our bike.
Anyway BOB brought this on and i here you.

Bonding fiberglass to polypropelyne is supposed to be a big no-no..... Uncle Cracker says I'm going to blow myself up....
OK my "creation" is going into the dumper.... its on the rag again.....
Drip....drip...drip...drip........

Its where I wanted it to be. You have no clue. I'm still laughing over than lawn chair comment. You should name your style of conversion that. Its what everyone who see's it will be thinking, provided you finish it, or dont end up cutting them out.xr650killer wrote:Those bottom mounts look like pikes peak.
