i have the same tranny in mine. i put a 48 on back and it works tits. makes first gear taller but still has decent top end in 5th. no big gaps between 4th and 5th so its easier to pull big hills

Ive got a 46 in the shed im gonna slap on, its got the power to pull at least 5 teeth less than whats on it.

It was cool sounding but also a bummer being pinned screaming it tits off half way up, she took the thrashing really well tho and din't get hot once.

I have in the shed a 53,51,49,44,46,47

I kinda collect them from all the parts bikes lol

I think it'll be a ton better with the 14/46.

I run a 15/48 on my 86 motor.

I've got an '86 with the wide ratio and at 49 tooth I need to get more topend, brit and I both were maxing out our topend. we'd pull right next to eachother and I'd leave him at the top of 5th, but still felt like I needed 6th up banshee hill and comp.
I'm going to put my 47 back on my paddle wheel.
I also figured out that my paddle was hitting my swingarm, so the 47t will help by putting it at the back of the adjustment.
I was telling brit to go with that 46 or ever a 45. my cousin is running a 14/45 on his '92 to make up for the low 5th gear.

Be carefull making big jumps in gear especially in the dunes!! Your bike will NEVER see more abuse (unless you tow trailers with it) and the sand is the greatest way to find a week link in a machine. Not to mention under those loads if you swing it the least bit lean say good bye to that top end!!

On my 5 hundy I run 14/49 ro 14/51 the 51 works great as an all arounder, the 49 pulls a great top end but I wouldnt go any lower. The top of Comp comes up real fast at those speeds!!

dude, after my porting work my bike hauls ass!!! I'm tapping out 5th a little over 1/2 way up comp and about 2/3 up banshee hill. the really steep part of comp where it elbows I'm actually able to make the whole thing without tapping it out. I used to run 14/47 and I think I'm going to go back to it.
Brit and I were neck and neck until my taller 5th pulled me away. Of coarse I think he needs more carb to feed that beast and a higher revving pipe. I think I do to, my pipe seems to be fighting my porting work for where the most power should be. Brits GSS bike is anything but slow though. I think the taller gear will make it more controlable too, I think the 2 guys on AFs only beat both of us because of taller gearing. That long stretch that goes up that really steep hill on the back side of comp is where we raced and I was tapped out at the bottom of the hill just over revving the whole way up.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 5TH!!!
:D

here Brit and his buddy fishing out his KTM, brits helmet is barely above the water. Sorry, the phone doesn't have a zoom

heres Brit's buddy's 4x4 suburban and toy hauler crossing. in the one pic the splash makes it hard to tell that the water level is acually up the hood.

I shot some video of the river/creek going through Tecopa, 20 miles north of there, total muddy waters, at one time it was as high as the road. Then wondered how you guys even got to the ride spot after crossing it on hwy 127.

I tell you one thing, I would have been camping on Tecopa Highway and riding my bikes to the dunes!! Not going to find me risking $60,000 twice!!

All that was sticking up was the brim of my helmet, you would have been hard pressed to see me even if it was zoomed in. I thought I was gonna get washed downstream!!!!

My chevy runs better than ever!!! I think it sucked in some water and that helped clear out some carbon.
