Doesn't sound right to me. Slash only one tire ? I'd frickin follow with four flat.

Always camp with firearmS chambered and ready to fire. Surefire lights mounted and ready to go. I'm not sure of the circumstances but my dogs are not left outside to take a shot at.

They would start barking if someone were trying to get in.

It seems I have heard a similar story like this somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

Not saying it didn't happen.. but i just wanted to see if i could find out more info.

I just got off the phone with the local Sheriffs dept for that area where the report should have been made.. and they don't show anything in the records for that day or know anything about it (and not to much happens there, so if it did word of mouth alone would travel). Not to say, they didn't file a report later in the weekend and/or in some other county (even though it needs to be filed with SB Sheriff in Lucerne).

Not sure. It just seems a bit fishy to me.

I'm still going I'll just make sure everything is in line for our safety.

I think it's one of those tree huggers tactics to show low turn out or high crime. Even if it's just on the internet sooner or later it becomes fact and they might try to take it away.

Look how fast this ran through the off-road industry and still no police report.

Too much like a move than real life.

I lived in lucerne valley for 10 years, even graduated from high school there. Still have friends and family that live there and 1 of them is a sheriff and i know 3 of the sheriffs that patrol out there. They all told me b/s. Theres been stuff thats happend similar to that between resident's out there but nothing like that to campers. Most i know happening out there is stolen gas cans or a generator. I've only had problems with tweekers staring me down when riding by, but i dont bug them and they dont bug me. Even saying all that i never ride/camp alone out there. Always got a lead spitting friend at my side

Must suck to live in fear.

I own plenty of firearms; none of them have ever followed me to bed, let alone a loaded one, and I live in South Central Los Angeles.

I have camped alone in the Cascades, Sierras, Bitterroots, hell most of the seven western states. if you're not safe in the wilderness, wtf?

FEAR MONGERING.

It's not fear it's just being prepared for the inevatible. Last i checked the nicer areas to live are the ones to get robbed. Theives dont steal in there own backyard.

Affirmative.

The last time I read about a bank being robbed in Orange County the clowns were from L.A. County

yup, you don't shit where you eat. when Saras work was robbed at gun point while I was sitting there, the guys ended up being from some ghetto area of the IE. They got away with $900 from the register, they wouldn't get that much from a register in their own neighborhood, it would all be in a safe. that was an adult store in dana point.

besides, the nicer things to steal are also in the nicer neighborhoods. Do you think hommie's ghetto neighbors have any 60" LCDS?

by your logic the crime rate in south central LA should be lower than the crime rate in Aliso Viejo.....think about what you are saying, then read the statistics. period.
