At least the discussion has been civilised in a manner to help communication not destroy it, to a point.

Every forum has threads about untrustworthy members.
Looks like this place just got that first bad thread.

I came across this one a few days ago and noticed the difference in the weld quality.

I hope it doesn't lead to this:

There's not a thing wrong with that weld. The weld joint was probably a little wider on that one requiring a slightly wider bead resulting in the weave pattern. IMO a nice tight perfect narrow weld with all of the fish scales could also be a weld lacking 100% penetration. I would prefer to run some extra heat tying in with the bottom of the Y section all the way around. This will result in a larger weld footprint hence the weave cap.

I think the question is did both welds come from the same person?

Are these welds (2nd pics) done by hand or robot?

Why the fuck is mikes craftsmanship being scrutinized now? Here before all this shit went down he was like a fuckin god for his welding, heat treating and build quality.Anyone who didn't have a bad dealing with him should stay the fuck out of it instead of jumpin on the wagon and talkin shit,I'm not saying he don't deserve to be shit on but it sure as fuck don't got nothing to do with his Build Quality
