yep...that's what i'm going to follow for a guide...Algava did a SICK bike on the other site...i can't believe he took probably twice the time to document that build as he did actually building it! anyways danny what's the deal with the one sided headstay? is that all that is necessary? because i have read everyone says 2 sided is the way to go...but AL didn't seem to think so...

oh and doesn't shanman machine specific front mounts and headstays for gen3?

I'm now convinced that the headstay design doesn't really matter as long as it holds. if you have a motor that vibes (usually crank/rod bearing issue) then its gonna vibe no matter what you do and if you have a smooth tight motor, it still gonna be smooth and tight no matter what headstay design you choose.
my gen-4 is 2 sided and my gen-1 is 1 and my gen-1 vibes less because it has a brand new rod bearing in it.
and, yes, shanman makes some good stuff. my one consern would be if the headstay was designed on a frame that used the stock lowermounts, or on a bike with a fabbed cradle, or a stretched frame. you should talk to him about that.

I have only run my single sided original design headstay and it works bitchen.

You better check with Shanman soon last time I talked to him he said he was done making anything for anybody and it's not worth his time...

I think he made a few, so I would guess he would still want to get rid of the left overs.

I understand where shanman is coming from, he made those covers and only like 4 sold  sucks, but it just came out to too much money for some of us :?
Andy and I still have some extra gen-1 kit parts, but I told Andy to hold off on posting them until Shan is out of his.
