100hp hondabut shouldn't your screen name be 89.07hp honda? I'm just playing man....That's awesome!
Why is that? because you read "some where" they were stiff?Slow old Fart wrote: I have enough experience to know not to ride a first generation AF.
Ya, infact MFDB has to hook up on the dyno at racers edge, but I like the idea of a day with a bunch of hoons swapping parts, jets, cdis and jugs seeing what kind of numbers we could come up with.Slow old Fart wrote:don't you have one in your neck of the woods?dannygraves wrote:damn it! why are you so far away?! Aw man and I thought that was a dyno report from your bike....100hp honda wrote:its not my motor. a guy in california built it for some chaps in austrailateemtrubble wrote:

They are supposed to run, handle good .....or bad.....
I read that..............
Do you have any first hand expierience with any of this stuff at all?

Ya...bummer isn't it, I'd be more than happy to prove him right and have him walk all over me on a 02-04 crf chassis...97af wrote:Danny,I really dont think he has any "s..." to bring.dannygraves wrote:

You are right about the 55 rwhp but some CR500's make less.
100hp hondabut shouldn't your screen name be 89.07hp honda? I'm just playing man....
And by the way are sure you want to be part of the shuttle program? I call that thing Killer if you know what I mean.
If you tell people you work on the shuttle they may be scared to ride one of your bikes because it may come apart in flight.![]()
Give me a old Saturn V, hey Bob what was the greatest machine man ever made?![]()
They were especting to loose about 1 orbiter in 50 so it has about the right track record for the design.
nope not mine. but that same guy is working on a totally new cr500 cylinder (not rehashed stock cylinder) with 98mm bore i believe. i called him today to see what the deal is but he not home. ill call again tonight problyteemtrubble wrote:Aw man and I thought that was a dyno report from your bike....100hp honda wrote:its not my motor. a guy in california built it for some chaps in austrailateemtrubble wrote:

It's actually a waist of time to dyno all the small changes they do not really add to much in what you see but can make the feel of the bike alot diffrerent by seat of the pants. The best thing to do is just test with seat of the pants and build the power you like.dannygraves wrote:since I have both setups and a pile of pipes and carbs, I really want a day at the dyno to try every configuration.
Do you read the legislation our goverment is passing lately? doesn't look like the land of the free to me.teemtrubble wrote:Slow old Fart wrote:teemtrubble wrote:C'mon Scott now how could "you" personally have more access to motor info if "you" have friends and "read" these things and "I own a Dyno" I also work on Flight systems parts for the space shuttle that doesn't mean I can fly it and I wouldn't try telling people they don't know what their talking about. Yeah I do! and I'm proud of it! I work on a bunch of DOD stuff as well for our military so they can protect our freedom so guy's like you can have an opinion!
I suppose you can fly a Saturn V too!
Yeah and that part does suck![/quote] Your earning a living off of this thing so I can understand a little but selling your soul for profit may not be a wise thing in the end.teemtrubble wrote:Do you read the legislation our goverment is passing lately? doesn't look like the land of the free to me.
well, that IS what I've been doing... I was talking about numbers... a lot of the changes were pretty big, like different cut heads, different jugs (with different porting) and completely different carbs (mikuni 41 pro w/ powerjet vs pwk 39.5), DeWayne modified FMF, FMF Gnarly, PC, etc.Slow old Fart wrote:It's actually a waist of time to dyno all the small changes they do not really add to much in what you see but can make the feel of the bike alot diffrerent by seat of the pants. I believe in a dyno test for serious mods so you can see a big difference.
The best easiest power to ride to where like you can wheelie forever i believe is just a real light port job buy someone who knows how to adjust transfer to create better fuel flow on a stock motor with the stock 38mm carb.
Can you tell me more about this? Which cr250 cdi? What else was needed?dannygraves wrote: A cr250 cdi renderes the bike almost uncontrolable, but fun as fuck if you can hang on.
