Ported&Polished wrote:Pulled the motor today. Took off the piston for the bridge relief, and the drilling of the piston. I also spliced the killswitch wires, took off the swingarm for the spacers, and pulled the throttle cable for the new throttle assembly boot to be affixed. That motor is in the frame tight! No biggy though, I am the man with the plan, and nothing is gonna stop this bike from becomming a reality soon.
Terence, wasn't there already plugs for the kill switch to plug into? There was two wires by the coil, those were for the kill switch. Or were they not long enough?

LOL, no naked pics this time, and I will get some pics of it tomarrow. Today I put the top end together and put the motor back in the frame. I mounted the clutch cable and lever, and got the wires all soldered together and shrink wrapped the splices. spacers get here on monday, so I can't get the back end together until then. I still need to address the radiators, but I am going to call Mylers on monday for that. Here is a list of what parts I have for this bike. SH PC pipe and silencer, revalved forks and shock, White Brothers foot pegs, new plastic with Billies custom graphics featuring his company name, Applied top tripple clamp, new DID X ring chain, Spyder grips from Steiner, Shanman custom engine mount, motion pro throttle assembly and cables, ASV pro levers, Answer fat bars, 99 500 motor with new top end, and a ton of new factory fasteners.

Well today I laced up the new front rim. Man what a task it is taking apart the original spokes and nipples. I got them off nicely though, and was able to lace up the new rim and tru it pretty well.

Seeing that front number plate reminded me that I needed to make an "L" bracket of some sort to mount it. You spotted that I'm sure?

I did, and I dug through the parts buckets looking for whatever is supposed to be used and found nothing. So I will make something then.

'04-'07 front number plate (for a newer look), '02-'03 triple clamp.

When I put the newer number plate on mine I made a slotted bracket that worked but made the clutch and throttle cable routing a little funky, ebay a 04-07 upper and do it right, they're cheap maybe $20 or so

Your saying a 04 to 07 upper tripple clamp right? Well this is a nice Applied tripple, I don't want to put on a stocker. I will make something work, I already have a idea for a small aluminum block, but thanks for the help.

Terence took this the wrong way.... it was to imply that for lacing up his own rim, on the first try.... that P/P has some "rainman" type SKILLZ!

As far as your bike....

I just noted the title change in this post.

I wouldn't really say it was a joint effort by myself and PP, more like a joint effort between Bob, ShanMan, and PP. Most of the stuff I did, P&P had to redo.

You are involved through starting the project and buying the parts it's made from. :o

I agree with you P/P, I was talking to mxracer. On the applied I would just tap a hole in the top or did it already have one? Looks good regardless
