Hello! here in Sweden we also use MF44 outlaw screws. I use the Dunlop 739 tyres and stud them myself and i use a street tire as tireliner on the inside. I will use my 500 on the ice this year if it will freeze. To get the right engine temp i will use 2 KTM 2-stroke thermostats. Very small and fits easy between rads and tank.I'll probably cover one of the rads too.

those ones arent very hard if your hitting dirt, wear down real fast
pro gold screws stay sharper longer, and there sharper when new, but not as tall

the shorter screw is in Nicks bike, ain't worth a sore ass. im coming into the end of 3 season on these and theyre superior to his new screws. I've been on dirt trails, crossing logs and open creek banks while screwing arround.
I will not be running the pro gold ones or coldcutters.
even after this they're still better than the pro gold....

I didnt have room for the mudflap obviously, i should have an outerwares on the shock so it doesnt cut the seal like Nicks did. My bike is stored in the cold, his in a heated garage, maybee that had something to do with why he had so much ice on the shaft

I run kenda k335 tires with liner with around 8 to 9 hundred kold kutter 1 1/4 inch screws in the front and around 15 hundred in the rear. This is on a modified yz250, and the traction on fairly clean ice is unreal.

Sean. Marcel Fournier (MF44) makes the best ice tires in the world. Once you get a feel for it you will have a blast.

never rode on ice, just saying for on dirt the pro gold are still sharp, while the ones you are using are completely rounded
too bad cause the super trac have a bigger thread and are less likely to get ripped out.....
after seeing the treliborg in action they are the way to go for riding on dirt in the winter, too bad they just discontinued them

Yeah I gave the MF44 scewed tires a go this last weekend, I wasn't leaned over that far, kinda hairy leaning hard without a berm. Tires want to, my head is like WTF. They stick like a road bike on tar. I did 8's for an hour getting up to speed before I could get it to slip out on me a bit.
Trellborgs are the best tires out there for winter trail riding, surprised you didn't know that chris. Spendy but good. Don't try to lean them on ice though. Been there, thus the real tires.

talked to a few guys that do those races and aparently near the end theres ruts over 6" deep in the corners, could get hairy at 80mph

My local club has been planning on running 3hr endurance ice races like that, but we haven't had cold enough steady weather to freeze the lakes around here. They had 4 Sundays schedualed to race. But I'm doubting they'll get even one in.

it's weird for sure, especially when you want to ride a berm. I keep waiting for it let go and I can't even get it to slip.......
