the stock valving on the X stuff is great off road. My friend Dick had an 05 or 05 CRF250x and it had the best suspension and the worst motor.

Heres the tank, complete with the "Bat Cave" , where the sparkplug lives...
A view, installed. I wanted to keep as much fuel volume as possible, and this seemed like the approach to take. I only lost a quart in volume. I think the Service Honda looses more, Scott told me his tank holds less than 2 gallons, and its a real pain in high fuel flow environments, like the dunes.
Bonding fiberglass to polypropelyne is supposed to be a big no-no..... Uncle Cracker says I'm going to blow myself up....
I may have to return to plan "A", and have my welder complete something like this.

OK my "creation" is going into the dumper.... its on the rag again.....
Drip....drip...drip...drip........
I'm heading to my favorite lil' TIG welder up in Bakersfield to have a proper Alloy one made. If its not too much of a pain, perhaps he can be coaxed to build more.... we'll see.

M.F.D.B are you talking about the fun emptying it before it becomes a fuel tank, or the fun emptying it after it becomes a fuel tank.
Maybe both.

If your gona get it done, may as well get it in the 2.5 gal range. That way you'll have enough for Robs loop / Jawbone

Bob, I picked up an Acerbis tank that is a bit larger than stock. I may need to swing by for some coaching on how to get it to fit....

what happened to that tank that someone posted up from Ebay? Think it was a stock aftermarket tank but shaped a little different?
