From the looks you wouldn't think you broke anything. Hope you heal up fast.

Sucks man, sorry to hear...

I can tell you one thing for sure, if my tax dollars are going to pay for someone who doesnt have insurance id much rather it be Stovers than some illegal immigrant!

They cannot deny you help, so I say go get it fixed, you "cant, not" anyways...

Besides that, a medical claim on your credit pretty much means nothing nowadays because of HIPPA...

$599.00 and a bag. You know with the new tax code you would have to 1099 him on a transaction over $600.00 so there is no paper trail.

Nah...

Walk it off wuss...

The funny part about that is I did exactly THAT! My 500 landed on my right ankle smashing it. It swole up like yours but was bruised waaaaayyy worse. I went in for x-rays and they told me they would call me if I needed to see an ortho. Well a week goes by, the swelling subsides enough that I could kinda get a shoe on. It still hurts but im able to walk on it enough I dont need crutches as much. Then I get a call on my cell "well your tib, fib, and ankle are broke, you need a cast"...

I tell them, "thanks for waiting a week to tell me but ive pretty much walked it off already you morons"...

Never did go in for a cast, took a few weeks but the bruising and swelling cleared up. I figured they must be idiots cuz no one walks off a broken tib, fib and ankle! Needless to say your X-rays look waaayyy worse then mine did!

That hurts to look at.
btw-You were wearing Gaerne boots right?
Those are supposed to be a top boot.
Was it impact that messed up your ankle or did you twist it or something?

Good luck and I hope you get healed up quick.

If this happened in SG-12's than it would have been way worse on anything less! I personally have those boots and they are bad-ass...

Yeah, those are great boots. I was gonna get a pair but went with the Sidi.
The Gaerne and Sidi have ankle protection but the Sidi has a true hinge I thought would give me a better feel for the shifter and rear brake.
It does feel like I have a pair of tennis shoes on too.
I wonder if the "cup" the Gaerne uses to envelope your ankle is to blame?
Sorta like a true knee brace will save your knee but will break your leg?
Anyway, shit happens right?
Just goes to show anything can happen regardless of preparedness.
Again, I hope everything works out for you.

right till i got the 500 i rode with hiking boots, but i figured ill break something if i didnt switch... still miss them
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
