try a new non honda cap, mine had a few thousand ohms, it should have none, it made a night and day diference when i changed it
i even got a brown plug with needle clip adjustments
before i was in the carb everyday for a year, no luck, black or white

it made me go from wanting to light it on fire to really wanting to keep it, but it had to go so i could get my 500

No shit? Honda has Super Conductor wires?

Cant hurt to test it, you are saying the resistance was really high causing incomplete burn?

Even tho ive had my issues with tuning perfection, I still love riding that thing. I hate the extra maintenance over my thumpers, but the fun of riding it on the track makes up for it!

if i remember right it had 17k ohms, so i could "short the cap out" with 12 volts and it wouldnt take any current maybe a few ma, if you wanted you could calculate it out, but it was stupid

it was 4 stroking...
mis a fire here and there making the times it does fire rich and the plug will be wet even with lean jetting,
and itl randomly fire right making it lean, thats how the jetting changes by itself for no reason within 10 minutes

Thats a good deal! I still wouldnt recommend bean oil for the Canooks tho, too cold and too much humidity during much of the riding season... :hiding:

So what do u think triggers the seperation? When mine seperated in the float bowl (over winter) it turned to honey consistancy and would no longer mix with gas? The mix was a few months old but ive never seen this during summer months?
