We'll see if Al can make it and split some of the gas, 200 mi was the same distance to Kennedy Meadows. Long ass drive for a day trip.
Can't wait to hook up with the rest of you guys this winter... the KM trip was awesome.

We are doing a full weekend trip in 2 weeks, 5th-7th, so if you can't make this one you have to go to that one.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA, come and I'll show you sand hills that defy the laws of physics!!! Sand isn't supposed to be able to sit this steep. theres a spot on the back side of comp (Justin and I both agree its the steepest spot out there) where it looks like the sand ends 5 feet infront of you but, it never ends, then you are at the top. 3rd gear pinned, sitting on your tank looking at nothing but blue sky, it doesn't get any less flat!!!!!

oh man, you vaginas really missed out!!! It was an awesome ride!!! only 4 of us though. My bike ran great and I got to see Brits GSS powered machine at work. The place was empty and wet, traction was awesome!!
The armagosa river was overflowing, I had to drive into 3 1/2 to 4' deep water, it was crazy, I got some pics of that on my camera phone. Brits friend on a KTM rode into the river and fell over, it was hillarious I got a pic on my camera phone of both of them fishing it out!!
A couple of guys on AFs handed our asses to us!

it was great!

It really was an awsome day I've gotta say it was the most fun Ive ever had at dumont, we drag raced a ton up comp and other steep 'uns, went for a roller ride from one end of dumont to the other then had a river crossing!
Those AF's were REALLY quick, it also helped that both riders combined weighed 200lbs
I've got a decent to-do list for that GSS bike now the first thing coming off is the 51 tooth rear, I was taching out in 5th by 2/3rds the way up most of the big ones that close ratio tranny definatly dont have the legs of an 87 bottom end.

There simply is no better time to dune then after a windy rain storm. Virgin sand thats heavy and sticky...heaven on Earth!!

You dint even need a paddle traction was that good, it definatly helped keep the front end going skyward tho!
It was really cool being able to see all the wet sand below, you could see exactly where you shifted or threw roost

LOL, I was surprised when we stopped over the top and you said you never did that before.
We really tore it up in a few spots. the paddle was really hooking up, when we left the camp area the first time I was 12 o-clock without wanting to be!!

i have the same tranny in mine. i put a 48 on back and it works tits. makes first gear taller but still has decent top end in 5th. no big gaps between 4th and 5th so its easier to pull big hills
