So tell me how long it takes to pay a 5K CC off @ 20% and min payments?
The only reason anyone would pay more than 9% is if they are ghosts (have no credit) or are roaches and don't pay there bills.
Paying cash is THE BEST way of doing things, most of the time thats not possible and thats where the banks come in. Loans IMO should be for basic needs, business ventures, shelter and transport.
This country is probably the most credit abusing place Ive ever been to, people buy groceries and gas on credit cards for christs sake, things like that should only be bought on credit in an emergancy not to free up cash so you can catch up on your cell phone bill.
You would not believe the things I see on people credit reports.
Where im from you drive what you can afford, most people drive older cars with high miles, when I first landed here I was amazed at all the nice cars on the freeway coming from the airport, I figured this was just "The land of oppertunity" and everyone had amazing high paying jobs. Little did I know 80% of the stuff is owned by the banks and 10% of these people cannot make the payments and are defaulting on the loans.
Another thing im having a hard time comprehending is the sub $400,000 home load gurantee offered by the govt, how much does it cost the taxpayer every year because some dumbass signed up for a $1500 home loan note when he only takes home $2500??? How many millions does it cost to bail out the banks due to their stupidity for loaning the money?

I buy groceries and gas on the credit because they give me 5% back for using their card that is better than cash or the bank. Just remember to pay it off every month.

yeah, I tried that, but when there is an available balance I go crazy buying shit, then I can't pay it off. I'm really bad about it. Infact last night I got an offer from american express and my wife saw and was all like "put down the credit card offer!!!" and I was all like "look low interst rate and balance tranfers" and she ripped it out of my hand and put it in the trash.
I've only got about $6500 in CC debt!!
Yeah, next time I get some money I will pay it all off and shred them all, if I even have them in my wallet with an available balance, I will buy shit!

its pennies compared to the $550,000 I owe on my house, or $25,000 I owe on my truck, etc etc.
debt is a never ending battle!
atleast I own my cr500!!!

Its all about debt to income ratio, if you make 200+k a year 10 grand in CC debt is nothing. If on the other hand you are making the minimum payments on everything to float, $6500 in CC debt can hurt especially if something unforseen comes up.
I always keep in mind the "what if" scenario, how long can you keep you family comfortable if you loose your job or take a big pay cut. Revolving higher intrest loans are scarey in that scenario.

....., and I also leave a foot print everywhere I go. Now I'm no criminal and I like the idea of anyone of the three letter gov agencies knowing where I'm at, at any givin moment.

I love the Gov knowing my whereabouts.
I'f I'm ever accused of a crime... nope..not me....
Take some anti -paranoid pills Igg. The Gov. has better things to do than track a part time motocross racer and AMSOIL dealer....
