lastnight the cuz had his friends over and were thrashing away on the track with 450s, i went out and gave him my af for a test ride. He'd rode it in and out the lane before, but never with gear on so now he really tried it out. Said he loved it, 2nd lap he was already dooing the tripple, he figured its too light on the front end, keeps dooin a wheelie outta the corner+ he says it jumps like a bicycle. Asked to borrow it for a weekend at his buddys track, so i guess we'll get the gearing to 14/49 than 14/51 for him + send him out, i aint got time to ride right now anyways.

Well nice try danny, heel up, its cooling off after this weekend. These things can't all be learned it a couple of trips. Its taken me quite a while to get where I'm at today. Should be less, for your half my age. Be safe and careful. Confidence is key, plus throttle control, once you have it, go for it, 95% of the time you'll make it.

mfdb is right though.... whenever I hop on one of his thumpers, I'm instantly faster and find myself jumping everything and taking risks I don't take on the 500.
I've decided on the '09 kx450f, its fuel injected, doesn't have motor problems liek the honda and infact the only problem I've found in reading up on them is the chain sliders wear really quick.
and it turns out my buddy Dan's BFF Jay used to work at the kawi dealer in cedar city and he is still real tight with everybody there, so I'm hoping I can score a bro deal, as well as get out of sales tax. :wink:

I think the only thing gayer than the statement above is "BFF"

DG = :homo:

hey, I used BFF to be ironic because the last time dan saw him he gave him a black eye and the time before that he punched him hard enough to knock a K-9 out onto the garge floor :shock: they have a funny friendship :lol:

Argh! There you go again! I dont care in what context you use it, you still sound like a fag. That term is solely reserved for teen age girls.

I never understood how submarine drilling excersizes work since water ruins the "lubricity"?

perhaps a loose fit makes it easier :wink: the last time I tried underwater drilling, my bit started bending :lol:

EXACTLY!!

I never thought water could be so un-slippery!

Honestly if I was going to get a thumper it would be either that KX or a YZ. The only thing I dont like about it is it (kx) weighs almost 250lbs, thats pretty heavy. But they do have solid motors and good suspension. How about that new YZ450, looks badass but $8k :shock:

yeah, I'd love the yz, but being a completely new bike, I don't think I want to test out the first year. The KX is proven and $5300 OTD is a whole lot better than $9000+OTD
and the '09 yzs are still available, but its carburated and the KX fi is badass, especially if I get this:
