the '88 will use the newer c/s sprocket, which is a plus, but has the close ratio trans, which I think is a negative on a 500.
otherwise, the same! DO IT!
oh, I found those '87 trans parts and cases earlier, looks good.

Sometimes when hot or really loaded up like in the sand it wouldnt shift gears, the compression had been low for awhile I figured it was just time for new rings.

Hey MFDB you remember in dumont when we were bending my shift lever thinking that was the issue :wink:

I just got off the phone with a guy selling an 89 that hasnt been run for 2 years, the bike looks rough and has no papers but he only wants $350 for it. Im going down to look at it around 5pm.....

I havent had a really close look but they look alrite, I'll let you have the wheels, tires and frame... Hell everything apart from the motor and exhaust for $350 :wink:
