Allright I got it. First off YIKES! This thing is very fast and scares me right now. There was no way I could keep it pinned, the front end is up and in your face big time and I was test riding without a helmet. That said, it has a hole in the bottom end you can drive a Mack truck through. The carbs are way to big and too rich imo. I got the stock carbs from the guy, but will try to dial in the 34mm ones first. Got to go look at it, but it's dual Mikunis and I bet the jets are huge. Also it has a leak of what I think is trans oil on the left side by the sprocket, so hopefully it's a blown seal. I never had one of these Yamaha 3 strokes before but they are fast.

sounds like a good time

my buddy was running daul 36mm pjs on his w/ similar mods and another buddy was running dual 35mm pwks. those 34s shouldn't be too big, just sounds like they need to be dialed in. I'd go through the leaks first, since they could have an effect on the tuning.

Well I was wrong, they are dual Keihin PWK's! And they are polished, not sure what size they are now, I'll get the number off them. I power washed the entire bike even turned it on it's side, lots of gunk. But now I have a fresh bike to see where the leaks are. It cleaned up really nice, no cracks, no welded cases. I'm gonna take the carbs off and see what they have in them.

my buddy w/ 36mm PJs ran a 155 main most of the time and I believe he had DGK needles and they were like 2nd clip I believe, can't remember what pilot though.
those pwks are probably the 35s

S46 AO JL is the number and it looks like that makes them the 33 mm ones, I think. I rejetted them with the only smaller "pair" of mains I had. Went from the 160's to 158's. The screw was set at two turns out, I made them 2.5 turns out. Now it's more responsive, but the bottom end still has a major flat spot. The carbs are very clean, which surprised me. And they come out so fast an easy it's a joke. Nothing like the AF carb that takes an act of God to get in and out of the frame.

Raised the clips to the top of the needles. Runs very fast, getting better.
