that is the nicest conversion I have ever seen. Reproduced exactly the way the factory would have do it. Well done Bro !

thanks for the feed back guys, im pretty happy with how it turned out. you really have to look hard to see its been modifyed at all. :cool:
it was actually less work than the first frame i did with a fabricated y section. ill post up some pics of it all bolted up. cheers.

Thanks man, i spent the weekend punting it around a natural terrain mx track, bit of a hand full compared to my crf 450, need to learn some throttle control thats for sure :lol:

Wow now I remember what a woodie is :shock: You are my most recent hero. Now I have to learn how to post pics. Well, I have a couple of weeks, half the engine is on the east coast, and in Canada. I can only hope to do as well. Great job :D

I had not read the previous pages when I made my last post.It was worth a few chuckles to go back.
What got me so excited is, that is what my store bought Gen 3 looked like when it was new.(well, almost :cry: ) Now I am motivated to make it LOOK as new as well as being mechanicaly new.
I hope this is taken as the compliment as it is ment to be.

im doing another gen3 conversion at the moment, although not with a 500cc 2 smoke engine. :D

It may be as contraversial as that fella thinking about the ally framed Maico 2 smoker...ha ha

i didnt heat treat it, would be nice to,but i dont know anyone in the heat treating game, let alone trust enough not to send me back a warped piece of shit :(

but, it was fitted up right and welded right so i would be suprised if something cracks . one things for sure its not going to break sitting in my garage.my 450x has been getting most of the action latley :oops:

thats badass. i was waiting to see the final outcome. you should be proud man, very few look that good. was it a gen3 cr250 chassis ?
