at your elevation, temps, etc. 32:1 is probably as rich a mixture you need.

26:1 sounds like a mess. is it?

you can have a rich fuel:oil ratio and still have a lean burning condition, though it doesn't sound like that is your problem.

U2 was oxygenated. If you didnt jet up, it was pretty leaned out!

i tried vp CMP which is "similar" to u2. its discontinued now and i think vp Q16 took its place. i know it was oxygenated and i jetted up some. it worked good but problem is it was near $75 for 5gal.

I ran a 180 main @ 5500' and about 100* temp at the Widowmaker last year with U2. If you want to make power at the elevation you are at- U2 is the answer, regardless of cost. Or, it's time for nitrous.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again, for big power the juice is the ONLY way to roll.

You can keep all the porting, the pipes, the carbs, the special fuels, the ignitions, the plugs..... If I were to do it over I would slap a forged slug in a stock motor and hit it with a wet shot.

I like sticking my forged slug in a stock jug, then hitting it with a wet shot
