man that sucks. you sure the bearing is bad, or just the seal ?

if your going that far in, why wouldnt you replace the bearings?

sorry i didnt word that phrase very good. i was trying to ask him if hes sure the bearing was part of the problem. ive never seen a bearings get that sloppy. luckily the cage didnt come aprart and ruin more stuff.

I agree you could just replace the seal if the bearing is fine, seals do fail but you would not have to split cases.

There is noticeable up/down play in the bearing.

The seal was replaced along with the piston rings.
