While that powdercoat is pretty; after a few trips to the track or a few offroad adventures, the aluminum will be coming through. There's no way that PC will hold up to sand between it and your boots.

Ok so obviously looks arent everything, if you've seen my hello from Oki thread you'll know my bike is ugly as hell lol. How much power can you pull from the cr 500 motors? I have a yz 125 framed yz 490 making about 75 with some serious work, but Ive heard of 90 from these bastards, si taht true? im gonna talk to team trubble, Ask him to build mine, black plastics and rims, bead blasted frame, and one hell of a nasty motor.

the 490 motored bike with aluminum side panels?

Thatd be the one. The tank wouldnt fit around the pipe or that big ass air cooled head, so under those alumnium aide panels is a tig welded fuel cell, and amazingly works quiet well.lol

I had a seriously ported '87 YZ490 and lemmie tell you that thing was fast as fuk, it handled like shit but talk about a lightswitch!!
I still think that 87 was faster than a ported 500 anyday, add nitrous into the equasion and its a different matter tho

Mine was ported by Al Holley, and yeah light switch is fucking right. Im just afraid Im gonna get thrown off the forum for talking yamaha. lmfao. My next addtion to that bike is boondockers nitrous. I just added black plastics, all new tm flatslide, boyesen reeds, blah, blah, blah. lol You guys are great

christ sakes, a 500 already feels like it has nitrous boost in it stock! i can't even imagine how stupidly retarded an AF on nitrous would skip around on you at high speeds. it'd probably fly right over a large body of water.

They dont skip around they just try to push the front wheel vertical

Not to mention set you on your ass from time to time.

that's what i'm talking about...The ass end is so light it must be like riding a rocket...it already is, so it must be like a rocket propelled missile!! i wouldn't know how to keep it on the ground.

i think one bike might go blue like this and one will be Shiny as a god damn mirror! nice to have two to pimp out.
are my eyes bad or does the motor look like it should be tilted slighly more clockwise ?

Why did they go cheap and not coat the subframe too?

I think it's because the front wheel is off the ground half a foot on the stand. I can't tell how much more clockwise it should be rotated...but i think that is the problem with the picture.
I just edited my post because it actually looks like there is a big notch for the lowest clutch cover bolt clearance. Meaning it would be as rotated forward as possible.

na, I think my 2 conversions are rotated further forward, to the point where I trimmed the case behind the waterpump and have the bolt against the cradle
but, ya, thats what bugs me about gen-4s the motor never seems to be at the right angle.

Service Honda can't win for loosing up in this piece! Now the motor doesn't sit at the right angle

I know I'm going deaf, now it seems I'm going blind as well. The bike looks just fine to me. Aside from the ugly plastic and anodizing. I preffer stock bikes apposed to these expensive done up models.

I hope to god that isn't a real woman!!
I look at it this way...
If I compared bikes like I do women, it would look more like this:
There's Amber
or this sorry ass bitch who would be a stock bike's alter ego
Make sense?
You can have Parris Hilton and all the anodized bikes you want. I do not make the money nor do I have the desire for any of that crap...

I've got white body work on my Gen1
It's HELL to keep clean. The red clay/mud over here penetrates anything (Ben Gay on the 2nd condom or not). Finally threw a graphics kit on it and it's better but my boots still rub the hockey sticks black.

Heard so much about SH bikes being so expensive.Anyone know how much are the SH and TTR bikes are worth ? And are we comparing apples with apples ? Like similar model frames, engines, amount of bling ?
That clutch cover looks pretty cool on the SH bike, where do you get them from ?

I believe you can go to the SH web site and they have the current starting price there. That clutch cover is available from SH but they don't offer that exact style any more. The one the have now is similar but says Service Honda Racing on it. They also offer a billet ignition cover. Last time I checked, they were $150 and $125 but may have gone up. They are on the SH web site also.
ShanMan on this site has made some custom covers as well and are really fine looking. I don't know if he has any left or plans on ruinning off some more:

Man, just read this thread, sheeesh, plenty of SH bashing here. So I went out to the garage and looked at my '05 SH, looked pretty "F"ing great.
