mike told me he would fix it bit I was too ashamedto end it. got it fixed during my lunch break ad a needle file. I talked real sweet to her and rubed her shaft. the gear will go on and off but ya have to gently tap. yeah boy. lesson learned. but the shaft is really soft.

You can clean that up with a small triangular file.
You need to get a rubber mallet!
I would also be concerned that the assembly is out of true.

Thats easy to check, just roll the crank assembly down the street and listen for the "woggle woggle woggle"...if it does its not true!!

what year crank are you looking for, if its a 86 i have a fresh one, if not your gonna pay, i just got one off ebay for 178.00 but there are a few on there
