Well I talked to him about 2 hours ago. He said someone was supposed to be coming by to buy the 250 (he has a 95 Sadooki 125 also) but told me many people have said the same thing then didnt show. So I told him I would call him tomorrow and if he still had the bike I would come by and look at it. He says he has a bill of sale and that he is certain the bike is clean. I told him I would be running the VIN and he said "no problem"...

Total waste of time!! The VIN has been ground off. He seemed genuinely surprised, asked me "where is the VIN supposed to be" while he was writing up the bill-o-sale. Worst part of all I woke Jay up to tell him about the bike, luckily we found out about the VIN before he Paypal'd me the cash...

Sorry Jay, ill keep an eye out, theres been quite a few good deals here locally lately...

ya... theres a lot of that scratched off vin crap around here. hell, me and a buddy were offroading our trucks last night at apex, we were romping the dunes for a while, then hit the trail along the fence and on our way back there was a newer body volvo on fire! I called the cops and they transfered me to the fire dept who made me sit around and wait for them even though I told the dispatcher that a truck couldn't get back there. I only called because I thought metro should know about it incase there was a volov reported stolen, but instead it turned into a mess... :roll: thats the last time I go out of my way to try to be a good citizen.

No prob Jay, you know that...

One time I was at Apex, someone was burning a bundle of Copper wire so I call FD and they ended up walking out to it because the truck couldnt reach it. So I gave them a ride back in my truck...
