If someone sends me a sample of each, I can do both...with whatever design the group decides on. Otherwise, I would think it prudent to start by doing the clutch cover first. BTW: all that you have seen thus far is conceptual at best. If Bob wants a certain design or the group decides on a certain design...fine by me.

I might have a spare ign cover laying around, let me see if I can dig it up. Brits old '87 motor should have a clutch cover... hint... hint...

Word on the street is that our good friend RJacks258 (aka Randy Jackson) is trying to get my designs (with drawings he got elsewhere, not from me) made in bulk so he can apparently sell them on eBay and probably the other site too. I have provided prints and allowed others to make the parts in limited quantity because you guys are my friends and because I love the CR500 engine. I have always asked potential builders only to respect my wish that I be the only one to make the parts for general sale. Up until now, everyone has been very, very cool about it. I am very aware that by putting that data out there, anybody could do what RJacks258 is attempting to do, but I did not want people to have to wait or prepay for a parts run when they were perfectly capable of having the parts fab'd themselves in less time. Seemed like the right thing to do for friends and fellow hoons.

I would ask that if you need parts, and are not making them yourselves from the prints I have privided you, please buy them from me or Danny Graves and tell RJacks258 to stuff it up his silencer.

wow, I always stayed out of the rjacks drama, and thought he crossed the line with Jay that one time, but using someone elses drawings (WITHOUT PERMISSION!) is completely crossing. I made damn sure Shanman was cool with me making a run with his plans, and promised only to make one run of them.
This really gets me pissed!

so did you ever come up with a set of covers to go off of ? I have the set to my 91 I will not need them for a few months . till I save enough money to dig into my bike. the stator side on mine has a hole burnt thru it but will work fine for a template.
