OK, I got the engine in the frame and all buttoned up. It is a tight squeez, but fit just great! Take a peek:

List of issues to be dealt with for completion:

1) rads modded (inlet spout needs to relocated)

2) extensions added to wires so box can be mounted in stock '03 location

This bike is being built using a Service Honda purchased Gen. 3 pipe and silencer so there will be no additional mods required for fitment of those items.

My thanks go out to AlisoBob and his band of merry men for saving my ass on this build. It is 1000% my bad that it took this long. My apologies to Billy...and my gratitude as well, for him being so graceous and patient. I have lots of excuses, but that's all they would be...excuses, so I will just skip em'. At the very least, I hope I have been able to help a few hoons out along the way with many custom CAD designed and CNC machined parts.

Merry Christmas all!

ShanMan

Ive never worked harder for someone I barely know... and in a way.... it makes it all that much more meaningful.

I hope the bike is all you have dreamed it will be Billy. Thats a awfully clean motor, if the rest of the bike is that nice.... HOO WEE!!!!

And for you Shan..... plueeeze.....

The amount of help you have given me, and the parts you have machined for everyone...

.... anything for you Brother.

Thanks very much for all the hard work Bob. And you to Shannon, I know all about trying to find time to get stuff done. And yeah, Bob, it'll be a very clean bike, just about everything is brand-new. I have nearly $2k in parts just sitting here waiting to be put on. Going to go pick up the frame from Shan here pretty soon. :D

Messed around with the Service Honda Pro Circuit pipe, pretty much went right on after I turned a hose-clamp around. Looks like it fits pretty good, rests a tiny bit on one of the hoses, but may not once actually bolted up.

awww...dang! I forgot to give you some of my handy dandy aerospace heat reflective tape for that hose. Might want some for the crossover hose at the bottom of the rads too where it will be really close to the head. PM me you physical address and I'll send you a big ole' piece of the stuff.

Also check the lower right side reed block bolt, clearance to the pipe. But I think PC's have more room than FMF.

I didn't notice it hitting at all, but I wasn't looking either.

Been slowly putting things together when ever my 10 month old son takes a nap, but just wanted to mention that everything is lining up, and fitting real nice. I re-wired the CDI last night to extend it to mount in the stock 250 location.

Pulled the motor today. Took off the piston for the bridge relief, and the drilling of the piston. I also spliced the killswitch wires, took off the swingarm for the spacers, and pulled the throttle cable for the new throttle assembly boot to be affixed. That motor is in the frame tight! No biggy though, I am the man with the plan, and nothing is gonna stop this bike from becomming a reality soon.
