btw the engine just fit into the motor mounts perfect, a little friction but no resistance and the bolts slid thru like butta.
found out my 250X suspension won't work without a little effort (as i suspected). I will need a 250f or X front brake caliper (bolt spacing different on the fork) and the shock is about 3/8" longer (showa vs kayaba) so I may need the 250f linkage or parts of it.

yota, I have a couple questions... first off whts with the suspension? you keep talking about x vs r, but that frame is obviously a gen-3... gen-3 has a different shock that gen-4, the fork can interchange, but not the shock.
looking at your pics of all the parts, I see everything there except exhaust, I thought you ordered a PC exhaust from Mike too??

the stock suspension is kayaba, I have 06 250X forks and shock (showa). I need to get a 250f brake caliper if I want to use the X fork and I think the X shock can be made to work with 250f linkage. The showa shock is a little bigger diameter which is no issue as I ground a scallop out of the rear of the motor like Bob did in his build thread. The problem is that the X shock is almost 1/2" longer and the bottom shackle or whatever its called rubs the linkage just opposite the rebound adjuster. looking at photos on ebay the X link looks a little shorter which would angle the shock a little more to clear. I have installed the stock kayaba stuff temporarily.
as to the pipe I am still missing a couple of things that will prevent me from finishing.

ah, I didn't realize you started w/ a 125.
bummed about not being able to finish, hope you can resolve that soon

ah no big deal, at least the bike is here so I can proceed with my work, plenty to do. Mike called me this morning, one item has shipped with a monday delivery date, he is checking on the pipe and silencer. that would be everything. I am still enthusiastic, can't wait to get home tonight and get on it.

My bad if you've already answered this in the thread but, what kind of forks are you running? Why aren't you using the Showa twin chamber forks?
