so we are at 4 packages total so far, with 3 of them being singles, and one being 3. I'll be on the lookout, and post when I see them!

It has been suggested by a member that, given how thick these clutch covers are, that they could be modded 2 ways. 1: Take out the minimum material thickness, so they just fit. For a woods riding application, where maybe a little extra meat would be welcome. 2: Take out the maximum material so they are thin and light, holding the most oil.
Your call guys, let me know. I haven't discussed this with my guy yet, but I'm sure it's possible.

I don't think there is enough meat there to make a worthwhile difference in oil capacity.

my last clutch cover had a rock flip up and smack the cover, smacked a hole into it. i say remove little as possible to fit. its really a bad ass cover as is!

I'd go for the thickness. I have half a box full of cracked and cracked repaired stock clutch covers.....I take a turd that weighs more than both those covers weigh together every morning so the weight savings really isn't an issue for me. Thanks again!!

dont forget the pressure plate goes out when you press the clutch....

id take along a known working stock cover along and make sure they have the same clearance
it would be embarrassing for them to not fit second time round

Where exactly are they hitting?

I would go for minimum material removed. your not talking about enough to make any real weight savings or oil capacity. The high-strength is appealing.

Someone mentioned the clutch plate thing in the thread already. Bob had said to start the bike and tighten up the cover. And they said to make sure to pull in the clutch slowly the first time.

This may have been said tongue-in-cheek. Starting with the cover loose obviously means there can be no oil in there, which makes it a bad idea in my book, full stop. If you DO do this (called race clearancing), FFS do it slowly, don't be surprised if it smashes your spring posts off the clutch hub, and then FLUSH THE GEARBOX COMPLETELY, or better yet, a total strip down clean to remove all the small aluminium particles that will eventaully fuck your clutch and gearbox. Better yet, treat it as a tongue-in-cheek comment ?

Mine never left Roosty, he was going to do the ignition smooth out etc. for me and all of this showed up before mine left.....so it's with Roosty.

Arrived in my mailbox today Mike. Wow. Everytime I think Canada Post can't do ANYTHING right, they surprise me. Even the blind squirrel gets a nut now and then.

Oh, and some of you guys went overkill on the box. Sean needed the large box, but two guys spent about 2X what they needed to. One fellow sent theirs in a box just big enough for the cover.

Flat rate envelope would have been the cheapest. Wrap the cover in foam/bubble wrap and flat-rate envelope. 5 bucks!
