Looks like they hitched a ride, or they are running the freeway.
At least Hammer has.

Your the ONLY reason he left or bailed . You told him his truck would not be there when we got back.

The only guys that rode back were the ones that HAD to.
It started raining pretty good this morning so we drove home. Hammer was going to stay another night, but apparently the weather cleared enough for him to ride home on the highway.

				Hammer is psycho...
180 miles from Carlsbad to Baker
150 miles from Baker to Laughlin
??? miles from Laughlin back to Carlsbad...
All rode on his XR650L

I asked him how often he rebuilds his motor? He told me every 20k miles...... That must be once a year.
Good riding with you Craig, and Im glad eriC and the gang are home safe.

Thank's to all, I had a great time.
 After you all left,
I got bored, so I suited up and rode home.
I made it home, and am being treated for "Hypothermia."

I have been sleeping all day, my body is trying to heal from the exaustion.
Like I said, once we got going all the problems and nervousness generated by the organization of this trip went away, I had a great time.
At mile 3.2, I was wandering why everyone was having such a hard time crossing the railroad tracks, let me show them how is done I thought, next thing I'm laying in the middle of them with the bike on top of my right leg. The tank hammered my knee right on the track, hurts but I have to get this bike over them before i hear the whistle of the train and make history, I lift it one end at the time and I'm clear.
That severed my brake line at the joint with the reservoir,I decided to continue anyways and I'm glad I did.
Some getoffs here and there, a flat tire and an XL without kickstarter wouldn't start, that's all I know.
Here's some pictures:
5:30 AM waiting for Bob(He was on time, historical event)

Staging Area

One of the many railroad crossing

Stuck in the mud

Bob's Handyman callous hand

Me,Myself and I

Finally we got at the Avi casino after dark.
The day after the weather was the excuse but the body aches made us head home

Working hard

Al out

Thanks for coming everyone, it was nice to meet you all. Ride was sick. Ride there was 3.5hrs moving but over 7 total with issues and stops. Ride back was faster with fewer people and zero issues. Lightly rained for about 1.5 hrs and then we hit a bunch of fog and some snow. We stopped and dethawed where Bob bailed out and then booked it back to the campground in the sun. The ride time home was 3hrs moving and 4hrs total.
For those who knew my hand was hurt, I went and got my hand checked out and it is broken. I hurt it about a week ago and did not want to get it checked out as I did not want bad news to stop me. It was numb with pain the last 45min and very hard to move when in the truck but it was so worth it!
Can't wait to ride with everyone again.
