If she wasn't comfortable in the loose sand, then she shouldn't have been there, its that simple. Doing shit like that is when accidents happen. If she saw a vehicle coming and was only 6 feet from the edge, she should have got off the bike and got out of the way.

After seeing that, I'd say your daughter needs a safety talk...
