Your describing Viper owners..... and you forgot the satin jacket.

haha, uh oh, I do have a "Corvette" jacket, but its a WW2 Bomber style not Satin, so thats ok right?
You all know my ass didnt drive 55, in fact, the Vette and my street bikes are what cost me a job with the Police...
Sounds like a nigga' boat, idling under the London Bridge at Lake Havasu.
His kid has a Z06 with a few bolt on's..... he wax's the old man every time.
I'm a hardcore Chevy fan, but I'm not spending $110k for one.
For that price, I'm going 911 GT3

The only thing America's big 3 makes close to the ZR-1 is the Viper SRT-10 and the Vette drove right around it on the high speed test...

For one, we are talking about production cars, not ones that sold before they hit the floor to people who knew people. Not to mention that car hasnt been in production for half a decade almost.
Besides that, you make a good point, what was the comparison on the track against Vipers and Vettes?
The GT-40 to me is still the baddest looking and one of the coolest cars of American history, too bad it was a F*RD...
At least the original was built back when F*RD had my respect, in that regard, also in a time when I respected Chrysler...times far gone...

.
nah, they were production, just low numbers....but hell, a 150,000 dollar car that hands ferarris their ass on a track....why wouldnt they sell good? theres more of those out there than ferarri's i bet......and ive seen a total of two in the showroom in the past, unspoken for and for sale.
No idea why they stopped production that was a sexy car....
but even in that regard, what GM or Chrysler car in history can compare.....
yes, GM's vette currently has the top domestic sports car, but ford already proved their point with the GT and GT-40.....

The original GT40 was a gift from god..... not the new GT is not.....
It cant even carry the same name.

not one of those will ever compare to this Audi if it ever goes beyond concept.....electric AWD and 3,319 ft-lbs of torque.....
heres a good motor trend review of the GT against a Carrera and an Enzo. and its only a cunthair behind them.....but the other's price is many times that of the GT.....for 650 grand vs 150, ill take the GT all day long over the enzo......
I read a magazine article where they compared many of the cars on that list, the audi rs8 and vette zr1 were neck to neck. I love audis, but at the same time parts are very pricey and there isn't that much aftermarket. If I had the money to buy a comparable car, I'd get the GTR, I have a fucking HARD-ON for that car, power to weight, wieght distribution and the most technology of them all, it is a bad mother fucker of a car
Don't get me wrong, I love corvettes, and a zr1 or z06 would be badass, but you'll never see me go into a dealership to buy one.
and yes, corvette and viper owner both meet the stereotype.
There is just soemthing about vettes, they remind me of some trailer trash dooshbag who got a workmans comp settlement and bought a vette so everyone would think he is cool. Kinda like harleys, people who have some cash buy them to be cool while showing off their mediocre "big bucks"

as far as respect, I respect the vehicle manufacturer who runs their company is a way that doesn't require government bailouts or mass dealership closures seriously, which us auto manufacturer has a record that DESERVES respoect as a company. My friend Dan's Dad built 4.3 GM cylinder heads in a plant near niagra falls for half his life, I wonder how his pention is going now BTW, he also said he and many others noticed design flaws in the way the valve guides and seals go together and no one ever made a change, thats why most 4.3s smoke a little on cold startup...Just saying.
