 You stay where you belong and don't go joining the ENEMY.

I used to take a look around there years ago until this site started up, the only time I go there now is when someone post a link to something over there.

Then I get really F'ed off because I cant access pictures over there without registering. Well there is no way I will do that.

When I found the other site this one didn't exist, when this one started I used to float between the 2 of them.

I started to notice a difference between this one and the other one, the other one was STIFF and uncomfortable ( where everyone has to watch what they post ), this site is laid back, blunt and to the point, a no BULL$H!T site where we can have fun and write our minds.

This site seemed more helpful and down to earth in my mind, so I ditch the other site and only go to this site.

This is the site I decided to register with and I have never regretted it and I highly doubt I ever will.

This site is like an old pair of boots, way to comfortable to get rid of.

Shaggy,

Many sites have rules they require you to abide by, that's the way it is.

Have to say , if I did not know of you through your posts on this site, I'd think you were a petulant little scrote by your reaction to their request. You did yourself a real disservice there sport. And I hope you take what I just wrote without too much chagrin.

The relatively recent requirement to have to register & log in there to read the content seems to go against the spirit of keeping our 500s alive.

Don't do yourself further disservices by not at least checking the other site every now & then - whilst this site is generally more informative & a hell of a lot more easy going ( I recently had one of my postings edited because I put "S**t it in" (sic) as a comment, not to mention ages ago when I wrote about a TV documentary that showed Iraqi's cursing terrorists/insurgents that were blowing up hospitals , whilst wholeheartedly supporting US & allies intervention in Iraq - now that was a strange thing to object to) , there are plenty of things that are only posted there. And you / Woody's are just depriving yourself of potential sales by not having a presence there. I assume you were there in response to an Aussies request for someone to do an AF for him.

As an aside, I'd love to know why Bob got thrown off that site - guess it was a good thing, as we got this site as well :D

Was up in the area so I decided to pay Shaggy a visit (unannounced of course) hoping to see the masterpiece with my own two eyes.

Unbelievable Machine Shaggy and thanks for the view and chat session. I could have spent hours talking but seems your boss had other ideas.

Good luck with the Rego and let us know how it goes. Oh, you should take a pic of the silencer you have on it so we can all have a laugh.

then some dick goes and deletes it.
must be of S/H sponsorship....

Shaggy, no, it's just their rules, they ping everyone who doesn't introduce themselves, nothing to do with SH at all.

I'm not a fan of any bought AF - as Bob remarked on another thread, it's about those that stump up, grow a pair, and do their own conversions (with apologies to Bob for any inaccuracy) Without fail, I have been more impressed with the efforts of individuals conversions (but also horrified of some) than those of business'.

I assume you have a midget muffler fitted? Or is it big blighter like my ones? Or something even weirder?

This is how I pass ANY noise test (and my bike runs better with either of these than it does with a PC2 I have hanging from the rafters):

1st one is 2 x 4t cans welded together, with 600mm 32mm core - it weighs a lot but so far it's been indestructible - I left the 4t spout on as a shit stir, it confuses a lot of people:
Image

This second one is very light, so much so I have the exposed sections of the muffler double skinned with an air gap to try to protect it:
Image

When packed the same, they have the same sound level, but with the big muffler I pack it looser to lower the sound level a tiny bit. The problem with a 500 is that the sound waves are near the low frequency levels of a 4t, in that the noise can carry further than the typical 2 stroke. So I make an effort to be as stealth as possible.

I ride in the Blue Mountains here, in places I've ridden in for 40 years, and I make damned sure no bastard can rightly bitch about noise - if They can't hear you, you Don't exist. If They hear you, they don't want you To exist.

I took the piss out of someone about 2 years ago who's biggest issue was what fuel/oil ratio to run.His claim was 25:1 because his 1980 something manual said so.PLEASE!!
