the 285 is a 33, my 295s are slightly over 33, the 315s are like 34.5 inches.
I still miss my ranger and old chevy with the 31x10.5r15, did make things easier.

Will they FIT on a stock 2500 Chev. Diesel truck with what wheels ?
not gonna be able to make it this go around... too much stuff has happened early in the year pretty much eating up all my vacation time.. not to mention trying to finance this debacle.. ohh well
I'm not sure what tire and wheel combinations work on a stock truck but, Zorack can get you all that info he's a member here and has the resources to get anything you'd need for that truck!

Can a motorhome make it on the beach?
Most likely you can get it down the beach to the camp spot. Its making the turn and getting it pasted high tide another. Someone will tow ya the next 20-30 feet.

Just asking
285/75/16, 285/70/17, 295/75/16 and 305/70/16 will all fit on a stock 4wd 2500HD with stock offset wheels. with the 305's you may need to trim a tad of plastic in the driver front wheel well...up next to the wiper fluid box...if i havent drank those memories away you should be ok
