Since when does a 480 not qualify as a 500?

I bought this bike from a friend that has tons of bikes. He was gonna restore this one but if you saw his place you wouldn't know where to start. I have a couple of pictures in my gallery of some of his bikes. The best ones are locked up and I couldn't get pictures of them today
Anyway, once in a while he heads out to California and scoops bikes up .
Here's a taste.
By the way, I also need a chain slider. Anybody ever had to make one?

Really nice bikes those old CR480's.
If you want to keep it white, get an 88 CR500 front number plate they are white and a UFO front fender but in the 83-01 shape.

I kinda like the white. Everything on it now has been painted.
The most pressing item right now is a chain slider. It has one but it's missing a small piece.
I've got 3 bikes I'm working on right now and it's good to be back!
I had a major crash in '90 and let it all go. Hospitals, skin grafts, etc...
Haven't been on a bike since.
Hopefully I have more sense than I did then.
No more stupidcross!
Here's another shot of some of my friends bikes.

Is that a 83 seat on that 82? Does it fit and bolt up right?
Thanks for the offer but I'm looking for specific parts right now. The most pressing issue is a chain slider. Of course, you saw the seat!!!
