Here is a future CR500 rider!!! She is only 3 and already loves dirt bikes!

I did this as a low budget project...

Everything was removed and cleaned to the best I possible could do.
Repainted the frame white (used Rust-Oleum white paint from Wal-Mart)
New Clutch (ebay special)
New main seals and collar (all off ebay – NOS parts)
Bore and piston (Thanks Glenn at GSS)
Fork fluid changed with factory fluid
Engine repainted (Silver VHT CALIPER PAINT from Autozone)
New water pump shaft and seals (ebay – NOS parts)
Gas tank, radiator shrouds, and side number plates off of ebay (used but better than what I had)
New Pro Taper grips
New reeds (factory Honda from dealer)
New front fender (Rocky Mountain)
Gasket set from ebay
New tires and tubes last fall
New seat off of ebay – I know it should have been a “black CR logo” on the seat
All suspension has been cleaned, inspected and regressed.

I purchased the bike for $1600 and now have about $2100 into it.

I hope you like it.

They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

Looks great. I'm doing the same thing with a 92 model, damn pink plastic!
I got sidetracked with a 2001 250 and a 1982 480. All unrideable at the moment, damnit.
