29 PALMS GRAND PRIX

Post by lewisclan »

01/09
Hilltoppers MC
Our GP is confirmed for Easter weekend, April 3rd-4th
We took a poll and the vast majority voted for Easter weekend. It’s our traditional date and it makes sense to keep it. We’re going to have Sunrise Service for the faithful and an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. It should be a great weekend out at 29.
GP Planning and Get together - Jan 17th at 29 Palms race track.
We’re going to meet at the track to plan for the 2010 GP. It’s been a while since we’ve seen everyone and it’ll be good to get things rolling. We’ve got some challenges in terms of personnel and equipment, we need to set a good game plan.
Everyone is welcome to come on out. Bring bikes to ride if you’d like, kids are welcome to ride as well. We’ll carpool from Long Beach if you need a ride. We plan on being at the track no later than 10.00am, returning home Sunday evening.
Pete Brown update
As everyone or most everyone knows. Pete Brown had a nasty get-off at our club ride Oct 24th. He had some internal damage to lungs, heart and fractured a number of bones. He’s been in the hospital since but is on the mend. He will be moved to Long Beach Memorial hospital for rehab to get him up and around again.
It’ll be a tough road but if there is anyone that can tackle it, it’s Pete. He’s succeeded at annoying the nurses and is generally being his same ole’ self. Visitors are welcome, I will pass on new address and room details when I have them. Or call me anytime, 562-304-3686.
Hilltoppers 65 Year Reunion – September 18th, 2010.
We’re having it at the Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach. Save the date, stay tuned for details.
P.S. Per Denby’s request, the Old English font has been replaced with his favorite, the Curley Q’s.

$39 - AMA Membership
$30 - D37 Membership
$38 - Unclassified
$33 - Senior 40+ Beginner

...see you Friday late?

You can sign up for AMA membership on-line. And enter the race via the XTRM network. It appears you have to send in your D37 membership or turn up on the day with paperwork.

I don't think my pipe would make the sound limit, i don't have the ball on the end of my levers, i am not an AMA member. So amanda and i are going on a couple of rides for spring break and i would rather ride with her than through that money into a race that i have no chance of winning. just choosing my priorities.
