These guys are fucking amazing. Meaningful lyrics, amazing horn section, super high-energy live shows. I think of them as Blood, Sweat, and Tears for the moshing punk crowd.
I know Ska-punk doesn't have much of a mainstream following, but holy hell Streetlight Manifesto are the best of the best.

Another of my favorites. A hardcore band called "A Wilhelm Scream" They're from Boston and I think they're more into a subgroup of hardcore called "melodic hardcore." It's actually singing instead of just screaming, and VERY good technical guitar work and tight drums.
I do a lot of mountain biking, both for weight loss and because it's fun, and nothing gets me up a long hill or tight rocky rooty section like this. The energy is awesome.
Made me think of another good hardcore band. More like skacore, probably the grandaddy of all skacore. Unfortunately, they broke up recently.
If you can make it through the first screaming 1:20, you'll see where the "ska" part of skacore comes from. Incoming upbeats and skanking kids!
