For the most part the terms are the same, some say dirt track but the offiicial is "flat track". Basically racing on a dirt oval. Sounds boring, but you gotta see it, some of the best, closest motorcycle racing there is, very common to have mutiple lead changes in the corners and at the finish line. But if u are into flat track, you knew this. The wildest are the 1 mile tracks, insane speed when they pitch it sideways, think like 110-120 mph.

Up to 140mph, it is nuts. I used to ride with a guy that was a flat track privateer and the soon of a 4 time World Champion. He bought a CR480 to convert but he raced MX instead. He was the fastest guy I've ever seen on 500 besides Danny Chandler.
