Anyone here from Fresno? I may be moving out there for an advancement/job transfer. What can you tell me about the city and area in general? Thanks!

I fucking hate fresno! at my old work we had a client up there that I had to visit a few times, I was not impressed, pretty ghetto, like made barstow look nice in my eyes. But then again, I was at the airport, drove to the hotel, then to the client loction and back, so I didn't see much of the place. I also had to do all of my server stuff there late at night, so I was at denny's at 3:00am after finishing up and it was like hommie central. I'm sure there are nicer parts of it, but I sure didn't like the place.

I used to joke around and call it "california's asshole"
was funny though this morning about an hour after I posted, my old work called me about the one fresno client I was just talking about. was kinda weird and creepy, like they haven't called me in over a year, and I haven't worked on the clients server in like 4 1/2 years... just weird...

Origins of Fresno :
Coming from the latin translation of "Cheap Mexicans who cannot drive", Fresno was discovered in 1828 by Illegal Mexicans. As of July 1, 2006 there were approximately 481,035 people in Fresno, California. There were approximately 481,034 Mexicans. There is about 3% that are asian, 2% white, and 95% mexican. It is a town in the middle of nowhere that is full of vinyards used to make raisins. That's why Mexicans live here

The problem is I would be working in Mendota. There is nothing in Mendota, so I was looking at areas within 35-40 min away.
