I wonder what did that??
nothign a little JB weld can't fix

coldnt weld it, broke right on the casting where the return spring for the
kick starter locks in . got a set of second hand cases.

as for the honda apart for the set back at the start its been a great bike.
i wouldnt touch an 09 honda 450r ,
i was pitted next to a guy at hattah desert race with one ,
it had around 80hrs done 2 gear boxes countless clutches
had problems with fuel filters (bike broke down on the return leg at fink)
that bike had cost them a fortune plus driving 6hrs to ride pro log and two corners .
he also had some horror stories about his friends 09 cfr
5 tents down chad billet blew his up ,rumor has it he has been through
14 motors this season.

There was oil and everything.

I think there was too wild cams, too much compression and too many (??) hours of use. Ice road racing is pretty damn hard for these 4 stroke bikes...

I talk with mine friend who has ktm 450 converted to 510cc and there was less than 10 hours with crank... He is lucky enough to not blow engines...

I didnt blow that engine by myself... it was friend of mine. i bought frame and squeezing trusty -85 cr 500 engine in it... :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3um7cv1Q ... re=related

there is some footage from ice road racing race.

No damage on my '02 450R after 80 hours, 70 racing supermoto. Still on original top end(knocking on wood). So I'll be the first to change my avatar.

when I bought my mower a few years back I really wanted the big wheel honda, but man, they are pricey, instead I got the toro self drive w/ tecumseh 6.5 and it was a really good mower. I just really hate the primer bulb on the carb...
