WOLFSNOUT

Post by dannygraves »

So, I don't normally lead rides, I'm a shitty navigator and usually maintain a weird pace especially for people on thumpers. But Following has been a problem...DUST! I have been getting horrible sinus headaches after riding, bad enough that it makes me not want to keep riding, and that is no good! So I starting thinking about a respirator that fits under the helmet and quickly realized I wasn't the first to think of it :-(
Justin told me to search for gators, but they are more like winter wear and won't filter that silt very well, they after flexing my google muscles, I found this :

www.wolfsnout.com/index.html

I ordered one in black for $21 shipped and I will give you guys a full report after the next ride.

From their website:

The WolfSnout Tm should be seated below your nose, with the rim bent forward, under your nostrils.

Bend the front tip of the WolfSnout Tm over to the right and down, bend the bottom over to the left and up, and then press to your face. Pull your helmet down over the WolfSnout TM and make sure it is seated in the front of your face guard. Once you get used to this, you will be able remove and replace your WolfSnout TM with ease, and with out having to move your helmet up.

Your WolfSnout should be washed after every use with a mild hand soap, do not use harsh cleaners or detergent. Wash it by hand, not in the washer, in cold water. Line dry, do not place in the dryer. Preoil it as you would any foam filter, we reccomend "No-Toil" brand.

WTF!!!!

Got it today, turns out the receptionist had it for a couple days  its even better than I expected, 3 different types of foam, feels very comfortable and I like how the nose and mouth peices are separate so you can breathe cool air. there are a pile of warnings on the packaging one of which says "do not coat with petroleum based oils"
