It is what it is, but he made some very good music for my generation. Aside from what else he did or didn't do doesn't really matter to me. I know that on the off chance I hear Thriller, I will still tap my toe.

the guy was a total nut-job, but he did just die a matter of hours ago... I, for one am not going to dance around his grave, I just find it to be in bad taste... I hated his music and think he was freaken insane, for the record.

I don't think anyone will deny, that in the early part of his career he was a great entertainer and he wrote some really good songs.
As far as I know Thriller is still the best selling album of all time, last I heard in excess of 42,000,000 copies.
Some bands / people won't / don't sell that many with multiple different albums in their entire career, he did that with one album.
He deffinately lost the plot though, pity.
Good music is good music, but sick twisted people are sick twisted people and that is a FACT.
Shit DG you beat me to it, have to type faster next time.

I don't wish anything bad on anyones kids, I never wished for him to die.
The fact is he died and I can't change that fact, but I do feel for his kids though.
I think it would suck to grow up without a father.

I forgot to say his music will be all you will hear for a while now, they do that hear whenever someone in the music business dies.
You just have to play CD or VD.

When Farah Fawcett died, she asked God for one wish. "Keep the world's children safe." So right away, God took Michael Jackson.

Timing...wow.
