Well I Did It!

Post by JBaze »

Yesterday, Walter and I went to the Honda dealer and while I was there I was drooling over the bikes. Ever since I sold the AF, I have had this empty feeling, although I had the XR650L, I am really not a dual sporter and just can't wrap my head around it although I have tried and tried. So with that I loaded up the 650L this morning and went to the dealer and bought this:

Not a 500, but with the med stuff I got going on, this is perfect for what I want to do. 2008 CRF450X. I have only run it for about 5 minutes around the yard, but it feels like it has alot more power than a CR250 to so far. But I got to grease it up and set it up properly, the boingers are stiff as hell even for my gigantic ass. It's alot different than the 500 for sure, but it's new and its mine!

Thanks guys, I feel like a hoon again! I can't wait to take it and see how it goes. First brand new dirt bike in nearly 20 years! It's funny I told the dealer that, and for what I spent on this would have bought 2 new 500 the last time I bought one!

Congrats! My local dealer has an '09 and wants $7400 for it ($7300 and change actually) and he won't come down on price. I could go buy it; but, the minute I do, I'll get laid off. UGH!

This one was 6700 and he came down to 6400. I thought about it and figured fuck it you only live once and I haven't had a new dirt bike since 1991. Power wise I'm pretty impressed. Really not any more trouble than any other bike, keep it clean and maintained should be go to go.
