Hi from QLD Australia

Post by racein01 »

Hi all....searching the net for info on 500AF's I could not believe it when I found a forum (CR500 riders) dedicated to my favorite beast the CR500 I had a look on there and then found this site also ....unreal!!!

Ive owned this bike, a 2001 model for about a 1 yr....its my first 500 I always wanted one, never rode one before this one... had only 2t mostly 250's....love the grunt...not overly impressed with the handleing, but that grunt is just orsome.

Would love to build an AF....oneday maybe.

any how here she is..hope these pic's aint to big.

My other toy...I know US muscle cars are mostly two doors but us aussies blokes go for four doors as well as two doors.

more of that grunt I love so much...400bhp in the old lingo

hope to chat to some of you over time.
cheers Rod

Welcome to another Queenslander. Spanked those Roaches in Origin 1,didnt they?Bring on game 2 and 3 for a 4th series win!
Very nice clean bike mate.Always liked the contrast between the red and white.
Anyway I live a ways south of you,and the past weekend saw us at the VMX run Classic Dirt 6 at Connondale in Sunny Coast Hinterland.Mainly bikes up to 1985 only with no racing, but what a sight and sound.
Don't know if you've heard of Aussie Legend,Glenn Bell? He was steering an ealy Cr500 round the moto cross track. The way he rode that thing was mind blowing, was a man possessed with creaming the track,he put on a awesome display of riding.
