Nice piccy. Thats what I mean when I say the magic of our science shines brighter than 1000 suns.

Coincidentally, 9/11 is the GF's birthday. I was a good patriot yesterday and drank some Sam Adams.

I wore my NYPD cap yesterday, and today. I was in Mexico when that shit happened, and because the news was so hard to get there, I thought we were at war. I was at a desert camp spot and rode my XR400 into the village and saw a little news on a mexican tv station at the market. So I blasted back to the camp and was the first one to hear of it, so I got all the Americans there informed of the planes crashing into the buildings, but I knew nothing else really. We all thought it might be impossible to get back into the USA, and in fact did have to wait for a couple days. We were making plans to stay there if there was a war and no way to get home, pretty freaky feeling it was.
Don't Clyde it, ride it!

I am sure we all remember where we were on this day.
I was in Wilton Connecticut (about 40 miles from the city). The area I was working isnt in a flight path at all (Fairfield County is the richest county in the USA and Wilton is right in the middle of it). So when we heard a low flying plane over head we though it kinda strange. Thats when a co-worker ran into my office and asked me to put the news on the 12 foot projector in my office, now my office was perty damn big but heck I didnt think it would fit 60 people in it with another 80 waiting outside the door to get a look. We packed people into my office and I hooked up the other projector we had in a conf room and the rest of the people went in there. As I was walking back to my office I looked out the windows facing the city and saw a strong hint of smoke on the horizon toward NYC. Right when I sat down in my chair in the office and looked up the second plane, that had just flown over our office, hit the second building. We lost 2 co-workers in this and many others were injured. I am very happy my wife was in Vermont at the time and I was far enough away in miles, not feelings, when the stupid basterds decided whatever they had in mind. MAN I wish people could be nice!!!

I woke up at 5.30am because I had to be in LA for my final immigration green card meeting. I got out of the shower to see the first tower had been hit, after I watched the second hit I relised I wouldnt be having my interview after all. My dad flew out 3 days later (pre planned trip) and was pretty much shitting his pants on the plane the whole way. It took me 5 hrs to get him out from the airport as everyone was massively paranoid (and he looks dodgey with the dark tash and hair   )
