I carry everything in my camelback. 90% of the time there is no cell service where I go. I rode by myself for the first two yrs I have lived here until recently started riding with a guy who lives down the road from me. It's not that there isnt anybody out here to ride with. Just nobody fast enough until I met the dude down the road. Old school desert racer.
I hate waiting for people every couple of miles. I cant hardly even get a workout that way.

I ALWAYS wear a backpack with tools(ratchet,8,10,12,14,15mm. screwdrivers, allens, end wrenches, ,extra tube, inflator and clothes. i ride way out in the desert and do not like being stranded. ya it is some extra weight but dont be a puss you will get used to it. believe me when you or your buddys bike breaks down 30 miles away from the truck they will praise you for having the tools to get back. boy scout motto
